Queens Park Rangers boss Chris Ramsey "very disappointed" by defeat

QPR boss Chris Ramsey claims that his side should have beaten Everton following their 2-1 defeat to the Toffees at Loftus Road.

Queens Park Rangers boss Chris Ramsey has admitted that he is "very" disappointed with his side's 2-1 defeat to Everton.

The R's saw their Premier League survival hopes dealt a blow on Sunday as they were narrowly beaten at Loftus Road. The result has kept them four points adrift of safety.

However, Ramsey believes that QPR's spirited performance should have seen them come away from the match with three points.

"It is very disappointing to lose. How we have not come away with three points is unbelievable," he is quoted as saying by BBC Sport. "Fortunately for us the other clubs around us haven't won and it keeps us within touching distance. We need to keep playing like that until the end of the season.

"I think we can get out of it, other teams have done that in the past. Had we gone out there with apathy and not played how we did then it would be different."

QPR are back in action on April 4 when they make the trip to West Bromwich Albion in the league.
