How Paris Saint-Germain could line up against Lens

Paris Saint-Germain boss Mauricio Pochettino may make a few changes to his starting XI as he looks for his side to bounce back from a 0-0 stalemate with Nice during Saturday evening's clash with Lens.

The Parisians currently sit comfortably at the top of the table, with a 12-point gap back to Marseille in second, but were lacking a cutting edge against Christophe Galtier's side on Wednesday.

They were without one third of their MNM attacking trio after Neymar went off injured last weekend against Saint-Etienne and the Brazilian looks set for another spell on the sidelines, with estimates indicating something like a six to eight-week recovery time.

His absence saw the system shuffled slightly, with what was a front four switching to a front three consisting of Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Angel Di Maria, but Pochettino may choose to rotate or switch things again after that setup drew a blank.

At the back, despite keeping a clean sheet against Nice, one of Marquinhos and Pascal Kimpembe - most likely the latter - may drop to the bench to make space for one of the club's showpiece summer signings Sergio Ramos, who is being slowly reintroduced after a long injury lay-off.

Behind the back four, Gianluigi Donnarumma retained his place ahead of Keylor Navas - as the Costa Rican returned from suspension - and staked a claim for the spot on a permanent basis with an excellent showing.

Marco Verratti, Mauro Icardi and Georginio Wijnaldum have missed recent games through injury, but have all resumed training this week and may make an appearance on Saturday.

Verratti looks the most likely to be ready for a start and, if so, would join Idrissa Gueye and Leandro Paredes in a midfield three.

Paris Saint-Germain possible starting lineup: Donnarumma; Hakimi, Marquinhos, Ramos, Mendes; Gueye, Verratti, Paredes; Di Maria, Messi, Mbappe
