Matt Ritchie has revealed his delight after scoring on his Newcastle United debut on Saturday afternoon.
The 26-year-old, who joined Newcastle from Bournemouth this summer, netted his new team's opener in their 6-0 victory over Republic of Ireland outfit Bohemians.
Scotland midfielder Ritchie called the pre-season friendly "a good test" and has promised the Newcastle supporters 'more goals' in the 2016-17 campaign.
"It was a good test and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I was really pleased to score and delighted with the finish. Hopefully there's a few more of them to come - that's the plan," Ritchie told the club's official website.
"The quality we've got within the group is fantastic. We've got a solid base and some flair up front as well, so hopefully we can continue as we've set off today and build up nicely to the start of the season."
Aleksandar Mitrovic, Dwight Gayle, Florian Thauvin, Rolando Aarons and Georginio Wijnaldum were also on the scoresheet for Newcastle against Bohemians.
