Marcos Rojo: 'I'm feeling 100% ready'

Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo reveals that he is feeling '100% ready' ahead of his potential return to the team's starting lineup.

Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo has revealed that he is feeling '100% ready' ahead of his potential return to the team's starting lineup.

The Argentine international could replace either Chris Smalling or Phil Jones at the back for Jose Mourinho's side, after the pair were criticised for their performances against Newcastle United last weekend.

Rojo has been used sparingly by Mourinho since recovering from a serious knee injury suffered in April, but the 27-year-old has insisted that he is ready to provide further stability to his team's defence.

"I'm feeling 100% and I'm happy with my previous performances," the defender told The Mirror. "They've been at a high level and I'm happy with my physical level, too. It's about getting minutes under my belt and continuing to play.

"It was great coming back after a difficult injury and there was a lot of hard work for me to do. There were difficult times during that period so, after being out of the team for six or seven months, it was an immense feeling to be back on the field."

Rojo could return to the starting lineup when United take on Huddersfield Town in the FA Cup this weekend.
