Liverpool have set centre-back Joe Gomez's asking price at £25m this summer, the latest reports have claimed.
After winning the Premier League title with ease, the Merseysiders may be set for one of their most significant ever transfer windows.
Bayer Leverkusen attacker Florian Wirtz's signing for a fee potentially rising to £116m is close to completion, with the playmaker expected to undergo a medical in the coming week.
However, while the club are looking to reinforce up front, boss Arne Slot may have a significantly changed backline next term, with right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold having already departed to Real Madrid.
Empire of the Kop claim that central defender Gomez is a candidate to leave for £25m amid interest from the likes of Aston Villa, Newcastle, Everton, West Ham and Bournemouth.
Who could leave?
Gomez is not the only centre-back who may leave, with Ibrahima Konate and Jarell Quansah linked to Real Madrid and Bayer Leverkusen respectively.
Left-back Andrew Robertson has also emerged as a surprise candidate for an exit following news of Atletico Madrid's desire to bring the Scotsman to Spain.
However, fellow left-back Kostas Tsimikas may join Robertson on the way out of Anfield considering newly-promoted Leeds United are said to be keen on securing his services.
Who could join?
Jeremie Frimpong has been brought to Anfield from Leverkusen, and he is expected to compete with Conor Bradley for Alexander-Arnold's place on the right side of defence.
Left-back Milos Kerkez is reported to be Liverpool's main target as a replacement for Robertson, with his fee likely to be in excess of £40m.
In central defence, there have been tentative links to the likes of Marc Guehi and Tomas Araujo, but it is unclear at this stage whether the Reds have settled on a preferred centre-back addition.
Regardless, the champions are almost certain to sign a number of defenders this summer, and Slot will have to find a way of smoothly managing the transition from the old guard to the new.
