Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Bruno Lage promises Leeds United boss Jesse Marsch "a big welcome" after the pair resolve their dispute.

Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Bruno Lage has promised to give Leeds United head coach Jesse Marsch "a big welcome" when their respective teams next lock horns.

The two managers were involved in a heated exchange following Wolves' 2-1 defeat to Leeds at Elland Road on the opening weekend of the season.

Following the incident, Lage told reporters: "Nothing against the manager, they won, but there was a point in the first half I heard something I didn't like.

"There are some things in my opinion that you cannot say. Most important thing is Leeds win, and congratulations to the manager and the team and the fans."

Jesse Marsch told a press conference on Friday that he had "sent an email to Bruno to clear the air."

When asked about the situation, Lage told reporters: "Just now when I was checking email, I had a message from him.

"It is in the past. When Leeds play at Molineux, I'll be on the touchline to shake his hand. This is part of the game.

"He didn't need to send the email because it's in the past. But it felt good to receive it and we will give him a big welcome later in the season."

After collecting one point from their opening two games, Lage will hope to guide Wolves to their first victory of the season when they face Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.
