Everton reportedly want to sign West Ham United's experienced centre-back James Collins in this summer's transfer window.

Everton are reportedly interested in signing West Ham United centre-back James Collins this summer.

Collins, 33, is currently in his second spell with West Ham, having rejoined the Hammers from Aston Villa in 2012.

The Welshman made 22 Premier League appearances last season, but he will be out of contract at the London Stadium next summer, and it is understood that talks over a fresh deal are yet to begin.

According to The Sun, Everton boss Ronald Koeman wants cover at centre-back after learning that Argentine international Ramiro Funes Mori requires further knee surgery, and the Dutchman views Collins as the perfect player to boost his squad.

Collins, who has also been linked with Crystal Palace and Stoke City, is said to be valued at £2m.
