Tottenham Hotspur confirm that they have completed the signing of Chelsea youngster Jude Soonsup-Bell.

Tottenham Hotspur have announced the signing of Chelsea youngster Jude Soonsup-Bell.

The North London outfit are currently attempting to finalise a deal for Sporting Lisbon's Pedro Porro, fulfilling Antonio Conte's desire to bring in a new right wing-back.

However, that has not stopped Spurs from negotiating terms with one of their London rivals to sign prospect Soonsup-Bell.

The 19-year-old has experienced first-team football with Chelsea, featuring for 45 minutes during an EFL Cup tie at Brentford in December 2021.

Nevertheless, that would prove to be his only senior appearance, instead remaining as a regular fixture in the Under-18s and Under-21s.

While the England Under-19 international was free-scoring in the former, the transition was not made to the higher age range, subsequently resulting in no further opportunities at the highest level.

Taking that into consideration, Soonsup-Bell opted against extending his contract at Stamford Bridge past 2023, instead pursuing a fresh challenge elsewhere.

In announcing the deal, Spurs have confirmed that Soonsup-Bell will join the development ranks, rather than be considered as competition for the likes of Harry Kane.
