Lesley Ugochukwu and Mykhaylo Mudryk both start for Chelsea against Bournemouth in Sunday's Premier League fixture.

Lesley Ugochukwu and Mykhaylo Mudryk have both been handed starts for Chelsea against Bournemouth in Sunday's Premier League fixture.

On the back of the 1-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest before the international break, the onus is on Mauricio Pochettino to find a different solution, particularly in the final third.

The Argentine has responded by handing first Premier League starts of the season to central midfielder Ugochukwu and winger Mudryk.

Moises Caicedo misses out entirely after picking up an injury issue on international duty, while Ben Chilwell only features among the replacements.

In the absence of the left-back and club captain Reece James, fellow Englishman Conor Gallagher has been handed the captaincy, despite constant speculation over his future.

With the remainder of the side staying the same, Cole Palmer makes do with a spot on the substitutes' bench, one which is notably inexperienced.

Alfie Gilchrist, Alex Matos, Ronnie Stutter and Deivid Washington have all never played a competitive minute for the Blues.

Meanwhile, Andoni Iraola has made a number of alterations to his Bournemouth XI, including recalling Lloyd Kelly to the centre of defence in place of Marcos Senesi.

Antoine Semenyo and Justin Kluivert have also dropped out of the team, with Dango Ouattara and Marcus Tavernier being included in their spots.

Bournemouth: Neto; Aarons, Kelly, Zabarnyi, Kerkez; Christie, Cook, Ouattara, Billing, Tavernier; Solanke

Subs: Radu, Brooks, Rothwell, Smith, Sinisterra, Kluivert, Traore, Semenyo, Senesi

Chelsea: Sanchez; Gusto, Disasi, Silva, Colwill; Fernandez, Gallagher, Ugochukwu; Mudryk, Jackson, Sterling

Subs: Petrovic, Bergstrom, Gilchrist, Chilwell, Maatsen, Matos, Palmer, Stutter, Washington
