Chelsea will be looking to avoid equalling their worst losing home run in the Premier League era when they face Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

Chelsea will be looking to avoid equalling their worst-ever home losing run in the Premier League when they welcome Nottingham Forest to Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

Back-to-back defeats at home against Brentford and Brighton & Hove Albion mean that another loss this weekend would be just the second time they have ever lost three successive home games in the Premier League.

The only time this has happened previously was back in the 1993-94 season, when Chelsea finished down in 14th.

Having not won any of their last five Premier League home games either, the Blues are currently on their longest winless run in front of their own fans since 1995, when they went 12 games without a win at Stamford Bridge.

However, their upcoming opponents present an opportunity for Chelsea to halt that run, as Nottingham Forest have only picked up six points on the road all season.

Forest are on their longest losing away run in the top flight for over 60 years, having now lost seven games in succession away from the City Ground.

Steve Cooper's side have it all to play for though, still being embroiled in a relegation battle just three points from safety.
