Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kante says that his side have a responsibility to help Blues teammate Tiemoue Bakayoko as he continues to adapt to life in the Premier League.

Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kante has said that his side have a responsibility to help Blues teammate Tiemoue Bakayoko as he continues to adapt to life in the Premier League.

Frenchman Bakayoko, who has struggled to make an impact at Chelsea so far since joining from Monaco for £40m, was substituted at half time in the club's 1-0 defeat to West Ham on Saturday.

Kante, who won the PFA Player of the Year award last season, has called on the club to help his fellow countryman.

"[Bakayoko] is training hard and giving his best. We have to make him play in the best way," Kante told the Evening Standard.

"Is there more of a team responsibility to get the best out of him? Yes. But not just Tiemoue, for everyone. We have to work together for the good of the team, for trying to win games. That is what we train to do.

"If he needs advice, I can give it to him. But it is the same at every club - try to work in training, to understand what the coach wants and give your best in the game. It is the same everywhere."

Chelsea face Huddersfield Town on Tuesday evening looking to bounce back from last weekend's result.
