Chelsea's young striker Lewis Baker says that he has become a better player during his loan spell in Holland with Vitesse.

Lewis Baker has insisted that he will return to Chelsea a better player once his loan stint with Vitesse expires.

The 20-year-old, who has made one senior appearance for the Blues, is coming towards the end of his season-long spell in Holland.

Baker has scored four goals from his 29 outings, during which time he has revealed that improvements have been made to his game.

"The coaches in Holland have helped. I've learned a lot of things for my position and it's starting to show in games," he told the Football Association's official website.

"The more you play the more you learn because different games throw up different scenarios. My application to the game has been much better. I'll definitely take that back with me."

The young striker has been capped by England from Under-17 through to Under-21 level.
