Injured Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer insists that he will be fit enough to feature for Germany at next year's World Cup in Russia.

Bayern Munich stopper Manuel Neuer has insisted that he will be fit enough to feature for Germany at next year's World Cup in Russia.

The 31-year-old is expected to be out until the New Year after fracturing a bone in his foot, although a date is yet to be confirmed for the veteran stopper to return to action for the Bavarian club.

"I have to say the other goalkeepers have performed well, but I fully expect to be back in goal at the World Cup," said Neuer, according to Bild.

"In my opinion, there's nothing standing in the way of me playing in the World Cup."

Neuer already has a World Cup winners' medal, having claimed the crown in Brazil with Germany in 2014.
