Barcelona are reportedly giving serious consideration to signing Bayern Munich attacker Bryan Zaragoza this summer.

Barcelona are reportedly giving serious consideration to moving for Bayern Munich attacker Bryan Zaragoza during this summer's transfer window.

The Catalan giants want to bring in a new forward during the current market, with Manchester United's Marcus Rashford a genuine option, but even a loan deal for the England international would prove to be expensive.

According to Bild, Zaragoza is also firmly on the club's radar, with the 23-year-old set to leave Bayern this summer, as he does not feature in the plans of the German team's head coach Vincent Kompany.

The report claims that Barcelona sporting director Deco is a huge admirer of the Spaniard, believing that he has the 'explosive' qualities to be a real threat for the La Liga champions.

Olympiacos, Real Betis and Celta Vigo are also believed to be showing an interest in Zaragoza, but Bayern's demands are making it difficult for those three clubs to complete a deal.

Barcelona 'showing an interest' in Bayern's Zaragoza

Zaragoza spent the 2024-25 campaign on loan at Osasuna, scoring once and providing six assists in 28 appearances for the La Liga club, who had been keen to keep hold of him.

The attacker started his professional career with Granada, scoring 11 goals and registering three assists in 58 appearances for the club, before heading for Bayern in early 2024.

Zaragoza has only made seven appearances for FC Hollywood, though, and his career with the Munich giants already looks to be over, with a departure expected to occur this summer.

Barcelona do not allegedly view Zaragoza as a player capable of being a regular starter, but they value his defensive qualities and believe that signing him to play as a rotation option would boost their squad.

Could Barcelona reignite Diaz interest?

Barcelona were allegedly informed by Liverpool earlier this summer that Luis Diaz was not for sale, leading to the Catalan outfit looking at other options in the market.

However, Diaz is now believed to be pushing to leave Anfield, with Bayern in the hunt for his signature, but Barcelona could yet reignite their interest in the Colombia international.

Liverpool are said to value Diaz in excess of £85m, with Bayern thought to have failed with an offer in the region of £58.5m for a player who has scored 41 times for Liverpool since his arrival.
