Arsenal are not planning to keep on-loan midfielder Dani Ceballos at the Emirates for a second season, according to a report.

Arsenal have reportedly ruled out the possibility of taking Dani Ceballos on loan from Real Madrid for a second season.

The Spaniard has chalked up 14 Premier League appearances for the Gunners since arriving on a season-long loan last summer, but the midfielder has seen his playing time slashed by a hamstring injury.

Ceballos is due to return to Madrid when his loan deal at the Emirates expires in June, although the Gunners are said to be hopeful of keeping the 23-year-old until the season can reach a conclusion.

Nevertheless, according to El Confidencial, Mikel Arteta's side do not intend to keep Ceballos on the books for the 2020-21 campaign.

The report claims that the midfielder is determined to persuade Zinedine Zidane that he is deserving of a regular spot in Los Blancos' first XI, but the Real boss is not convinced.

Ceballos has amassed 24 appearances in all competitions for Arsenal this season, registering one goal and two assists in that time.
