Not too long ago, Arsenal sporting director Andrea Berta faced a few murmurs of discontent, as the Gunners struggled to make headway in their pursuit of the marquee number nine that fans have craved for so long.

However, fast-forward to mid-July, and the mood among the Emirates fanbase is a lot rosier, as the Premier League runners-up should soon be about to confirm their fourth, fifth and sixth signings after Christian Norgaard, Kepa Arrizabalaga and Martin Zubimendi.

An agreement has reportedly been reached with Sporting Lisbon for the transfer of Swedish attacking sensation Viktor Gyokeres, whose decision not to return for pre-season training has worked a treat ahead of his arrival for an initial £55m.

Meanwhile, Chelsea winger Noni Madueke is understood to have passed his medical with the North London giants - all that awaits now is an announcement - while Valencia and Spain Under-21 defender Cristhian Mosquera is in the exact same boat.

If Arsenal are to also add an Eberechi Eze to their squad, though, sales will surely have to be made in the near future, as the likes of Leandro Trossard, Reiss Nelson and Albert Sambi Lokonga continue to be linked with moves away.
