Wolverhampton Wanderers could lose manager Nuno Espirito Santo at the end of the season, according to a report.

Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly currently identifying potential candidates to replace Nuno Espirito Santo as head coach of the Premier League club.

The 47-year-old has been in charge of Wolves since May 2017, leading the team to the 2017-18 Championship title before securing back-to-back seventh-placed finishes in England's top flight.

The West Midlands club have found it difficult to show consistency this term, though, and currently sit down in 12th position in the Premier League table.

According to the Daily Mail, Nuno could walk away from Molineux at the end of the season, which has led to Wolves drawing up contingency plans in the event that they will need to look for a new head coach.

The report claims that former Porto boss Vitor Pereira and ex-Benfica head coach Bruno Lage are options, while Jose Mourinho's former assistant Rui Faria is also being considered.

Nuno has previously been linked with the managerial jobs at Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur, while there is also thought to be interest in the Portuguese from Spain.
