Tomas Rosicky: 'Chelsea defeat was a slap in the face'

Tomas Rosicky describes Arsenal's 6-0 thrashing by Chelsea as a "slap in the face".

Tomas Rosicky has described Arsenal's 6-0 thrashing by Chelsea as a "slap in the face" for the team.

The Gunners had their Premier League title hopes severely dented on Saturday thanks to an embarrassing defeat at Stamford Bridge.

However, Rosicky is confident that he and his teammates can bounce back positively tonight when they face Swansea City at the Emirates Stadium.

"This is a big slap in the face but there are still eight games to go and so many points still to play for," he told the club's official website.

"If you see in the past almost every time we had a negative result we always had a good reaction up until now. We have the experience of turning a negative into a positive very quickly."

Arsenal are currently in fourth place in the Premier League table, seven points adrift of leaders Chelsea.
