Katie Swan enjoying Australian Open experience

Fifteen-year-old Katie Swan admits that she is "loving" the experience of competing at the Australian Open after reaching the girls' singles semi-finals.

Katie Swan has revealed that she feels comfortable competing at a Grand Slam girls' tournament, despite being just 15 years of age.

The British player has overcome top seed Xu Shilin on the way to reaching the last four in Melbourne, and the teenager believes that she has shown that she is good enough to compete at that level.

Swan is quoted by BBC Sport as saying: "It's been amazing. I'm loving it here.

"It's even better that I'm still going. I definitely feel like I belong here and I've shown that on the court this week."

The world number 31 will play fifth seed Dalma Galfi for a place in the final.
