Australia have recorded their second victory of the Autumn International schedule by beating Ireland 32-15 at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.

Both teams conceded penalties at the breakdown early on, with Quade Cooper putting the Wallabies ahead with eight minutes on the clock before Jonny Sexton levelled three minutes later.

The Aussie had another chance to edge his team in front soon after, but he was unable to make it two out of two.

However, Ewen McKenzie's men went back in front when Stephen Moore laid off to Nick Cummins, who cut inside to go under the posts, and this time Cooper split the posts.

Sexton missed the chance to shave three points off the deficit before Michael Hooper extended the tourists' advantage, although Cooper missed his conversion.

Sloppy play from the Aussies allowed Sexton three penalties before half time, and the Irishman took advantage of each one to get his country within three points at the break.

It took five minutes after the restart for Australia to score again, with Cooper going over the line and converting his own try for a 10-point lead.

Ian Madigan's penalty kick kept Ireland in touch but a 67th-minute try from Hooper all but sealed victory for the visiting team, although they had to play the remaining eight minutes with a man down.

Tevita Kuridrani was the player who received a straight red for a dangerous tackle on Peter O'Mahony.
