Kevin Magnussen acknowledges the possibility of losing his Formula 1 race seat in the ongoing turbulent driver market changes.

This year saw no new drivers join Formula 1; however, prospects for 2025 include Kimi Antonelli, Oliver Bearman, and possibly Liam Lawson and Jack Doohan, all expected to join the roster.

This spells trouble for the 31-year-old Magnussen, who has faced difficulties competing with teammate Nico Hulkenberg at Haas, garnering attention for his controversial racing style, and now faces the likelihood of being succeeded by Esteban Ocon.

In response to a question about his potential departure during the unpredictable season, Magnussen remarked to Ekstra Badet newspaper, "Yes, there is a risk of that happening."

He remains unassociated with any potential team transfers.

"The team knows me very well," the Danish racer stated, "I am a known quantity to them. So I don't think I need to prove anything. The market is very open this time. We have to see how it plays out," Magnussen continued.

"I have made it clear that I would love to continue here. The team is in a good place with hope for the future. I would love to be a part of it," he expressed.

"I don't know how long it will be before we know the outcome. Until then, I'll just keep driving. I don't really have a deadline."

"But I still think the market is quite open."

Previously, when Magnussen was without a Formula 1 seat, he explored other categories including DTM, Le Mans, and showed interest in Indycar and other American series.

Currently, he is not considering alternatives.

"I want to be in Formula 1," Magnussen declared, "That's where my head is at the moment. Until it's not an option anymore, I focus on that. But whatever happens, I handle it when the time comes. In hard times, the most important thing is to stay positive and keep calm."

"When I was younger, I definitely got more stressed and felt the pressure more. Now I am better at putting it aside, getting in the car and just driving it as well as I can."
