Newcastle United are among those said to have shown an interest in signing Conor Coady from Wolverhampton Wanderers this summer.

Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Conor Coady is reportedly a summer transfer target for a trio of Championship clubs, including Newcastle United.

The 23-year-old, a £2m signing from Huddersfield Town last summer, has been overlooked during pre-season and could now be on his way out of Molineux.

TalkSPORT claims that the club's new Chinese backers are looking to reshape the playing squad by recruiting a number of high-profile players - including Benfica's Anderson Talisca, who has been linked with a £20m move.

It is suggested that Coady could now join up with former Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez at Newcastle, while fellow second-tier sides Sheffield Wednesday and Queens Park Rangers are also interested.

Coady, capped four times by England at Under-20s level, made 39 appearances for Wolves last season
