Watford complete the signing of Austria Under-21s international keeper Daniel Bachmann following his release by Stoke City.

Watford have announced the arrival of Austria Under-21s international Daniel Bachmann on a three-year deal.

The 22-year-old has spent the past six years with Premier League rivals Stoke City, where he failed to break into the first-team fold and was released earlier this summer.

Bachmann has had more success on the international stage, earning 16 caps at Under-21s level and being named in Austria's senior squad on a couple of occasions.

Despite his only previous senior action coming through loan spells at Wrexham, Ross County and Bury, Bachmann has been snapped up by Watford as a free agent.

Watford were also said to be interested in Juventus stopper Neto, but may now turn their attention elsewhere as they continue to strengthen their goalkeeping ranks ahead of the new season.
