Stoke City goalkeeper Jack Butland has admitted that he has ambitions to play Champions League football at some point in his career.
After returning from a year out with an ankle injury, Butland has been linked with a transfer to Arsenal, but there is no indication that he will be allowed to leave the Potters this summer.
However, the England stopper has acknowledged that he intends to move on in the coming years if the Staffordshire outfit do not break into the top four of the Premier League table.
The 24-year-old told talkSPORT: "My ambitions are to be the Stoke number one and England number one, but there are other things I want to achieve in my career as well.
"I want to play in the Champions League and I want to win trophies. There's no reason why we can't win trophies at Stoke, we'll try and win some cups and do as well as we can, but I obviously have ambitions.
"If it's the right move at the right time, you never know. You always have to think about these things."
Despite signing for Stoke at the start of 2013, Butland has made just 52 appearances in all competitions.
