Tottenham Hotspur are preparing to prioritise a move for a new striker this summer, according to a report.

Tottenham Hotspur will supposedly prioritise a move for a new striker this summer.

Question marks remain over the future of Harry Kane as Spurs prepare for another trophyless end to the season, while Carlos Vinicius is not expected to make his loan move from Benfica permanent.

Vinicius has amassed six goals and three assists from nine Europa League appearances, but he has struggled to make a name for himself in the Premier League, netting just one goal in nine outings.

As a result, Sky Sports News claims that Spurs will focus their efforts on signing a new frontman this summer, and they will do so under the impression that Kane remains at the club next season.

The report claims that Daniel Levy is not willing to sanction Kane's sale, and the Lilywhites will now aim to find a suitable backup to the England captain, who is still being linked with Manchester United and Manchester City.

A recent report claimed that Spurs are weighing up a move for Brentford striker Ivan Toney, who has broken the 30-goal mark in 44 Championship games this season.
