Barcelona phenom Lamine Yamal has comfortably won the vote for the European Player of the Season in the 2024-25 Sports Mole Readers' Awards.
The 17-year-old enhanced his ever-growing reputation during another extraordinary campaign in Catalonia, registering an astounding 18 goals and 25 assists as Barcelona won a domestic treble.
Despite not even reaching adulthood, Yamal is already perceived as one of the best players on the planet and is expected to be a leading contender for this year's Ballon d'Or, as he aims to become the youngest player to win the award.
Up against incredibly stiff competition, the Euro 2024 winner was named the European Player of the Season by a landslide, taking 43.6% of the vote in a 12-strong category.
Paris Saint-Germain's Ousmane Dembele - Yamal's predecessor at Barcelona - finished in second place with 16.7%, having produced a phenomenal 33 goals and 13 assists in 48 matches as Les Parisiens chase Champions League glory.
Yamal's Barca teammate Raphinha came in at third place with an 11.1% share, marginally better than Real Madrid's Kylian Mbappe, whose 9% put him at fourth place.
