Orlando Sa scored a hat-trick to guide Reading to a comprehensive 5-1 win over Ipswich Town.
The summer signing found the net twice inside the opening 14 minutes, before adding a third in the second half.
Freddie Sears had temporarily levelled things up early on, but it was Reading who were on top for longer spells and they were able to regain their lead thanks to Nick Blackman's strike.
It was then left to Sa to complete his scoring account for the night, before Oliver Norwood fired home a superb individual strike to lift the Royals up to fifth place.
