Memphis Depay makes his first start since September as Netherlands face Qatar in their final fixture in Group A.

The Barcelona forward came into this tournament without any game time since September 22 due to injury, but substitute outings have been made against Senegal and Ecuador respectively.

Having proven his fitness across that opening World Cup double-header, Depay has been recalled by Louis van Gaal to replace Steven Bergwijn.

Despite being unhappy with his side's performance against Ecuador on Friday, Van Gaal makes just one other alteration, bringing in Marten de Roon for Teun Koopmeiners.

Netherlands will qualify for the last 16 with any manner of victory, while a Senegal win against Ecuador will also provide them with progression if they avoid defeat against the tournament hosts.

Meanwhile, Felix Sanchez has opted to make just the one change to his Qatar side, who have already been eliminated from the competition.

Abdulaziz Hatem returns to the centre of midfield with Karim Boudiaf the player to miss out.

Netherlands: Noppert; Timber, Van Dijk, Ake; Dumfries, De Roon, De Jong, Blind; Klaassen; Depay, Gakpo

Qatar: Barsham; Mohammad, Ro-Ro, Khoukhi, Hassan, Ahmed; Al Haydos, Madibo, Hatem; Ali, Atif
