Sunderland midfielder Emmanuele Giaccherini arrives in Italy to seal a move to Napoli.

Napoli have reportedly agreed to pay £2m for Sunderland midfielder Emmanuele Giaccherini.

The Italian international spent last season on loan at Bologna but interest in his signature intensified after his impressive performances for his country during Euro 2016.

Chelsea had been strongly linked with a move for the former Juventus player but according to Sky Sports News, he is putting the finishing touches to a transfer to Napoli.

Giaccherini has been pictured arriving for his medical with the Serie A giants and a move is expected to be completed before the end of the week.

In 2013, Sunderland paid £6.5m for Giaccherini but he leaves the Stadium of Light having made 27 starts for the Black Cats in all competitions.
