Jose Anigo calls for fan support

Jose Anigo wants the Marseille fans to get behind the team on Sunday against Lyon.

Marseille temporary head coach Jose Anigo has urged the club's fans to get behind the players for their home game against Lyon in Ligue 1 on Sunday evening.

L'OM have struggled this season and are currently sixth, five points behind Sunday's opponents, but despite this, he wants the fans to support until the end.

"There is so much pressure on the players at the Velodrome," he told RMC Radio. "Here is where we've lost the points. The players need to be supported. When I watch Liverpool play I get shivers.

"When you love your club you cannot turn against it. This club needs to wise up and not call everything into question. You can have a bad season.

"I do put myself in the supporters' shoes nevertheless. We've messed up this season but we're not going to commit suicide."

Marseille are four points clear of seventh-placed Bordeaux.
