Bruno Fernandes leaving Manchester United this summer could lead to a rift between Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Ruben Amorim, according to a report.
Saudi Pro League titans Al-Hilal are understood to be pushing for the Portuguese's signature in the summer window and are said to have held productive conversations with his agent earlier this week.
Fernandes himself is also believed to be seriously considering a switch to the Middle East, although he nevertheless took part in Man United's post-season tour of Asia.
The 30-year-old started Friday's 3-1 friendly win over Hong Kong, after which Amorim expressed hope that his captain would remain at the Theatre of Dreams for the 2025-26 campaign.
The former Sporting Lisbon boss also insisted that the Red Devils can make money without having to offload their star man, but Al-Hilal could very well stump up a bid that Old Trafford chiefs find too difficult to turn down.

According to the Daily Star, co-owner Ratcliffe would be willing to sell Fernandes to Al-Hilal to help alleviate Man United's financial crisis, as the Red Devils missed out on a potential £100m by failing to qualify for the Champions League.
While Ratcliffe would have no qualms about selling Fernandes to the highest bidder, Amorim is allegedly determined to keep the playmaker on the books given his importance from a sporting sense.
Fernandes excelled while many of his teammates floundered in the 2024-25 season, producing 19 goals and 20 assists from 57 appearances in all competitions, including eight strikes and 11 helpers in Premier League action.
As a result, Amorim would supposedly be left 'seething' if Ratcliffe sanctioned Fernandes's sale in the summer window, and there is the very real risk of a major falling-out between the pair.
Fernandes himself opened the door to leaving the 20-time English champions in the wake of their Europa League final loss to Tottenham Hotspur, claiming he would go if he felt he could not take the team to the next level.
The 30-year-old has come up with 98 goals and 87 assists from 290 matches for Man United since joining from Sporting in 2020, and his contract runs for another two seasons.

When a player turns 30, his resale value plummets, and there comes a point where a club simply cannot turn down an astronomical offer for his services regardless of their financial situation.
Man United would be in no position to reject a bid north of £80m for Fernandes, but they should also boost their coffers through selling Alejandro Garnacho for a sizeable fee, while Joshua Zirkzee and Kobbie Mainoo could also depart.
Furthermore, the exits of Christian Eriksen, Victor Lindelof and Jonny Evans will free up some space on the Man United wage bill, although some of that space will be taken up by £62.5m attacker Matheus Cunha.
