Chelsea reportedly win the race to sign Ajax youngster Daishawn Redan.

Chelsea have allegedly beaten Manchester United to the signature of Ajax prospect Daishawn Redan.

The highly-rated 16-year-old has turned down a move to Old Trafford in favour of joining the Premier League champions, according to the Daily Mail.

Redan, who has already been capped at Under-17 level by the Netherlands, is expected to join up with Chelsea's academy on July 1.

Ajax announced in March that the youngster would be leaving at the end of the season, with United thought to be the most likely destination after strong interest from the Red Devils during the winter transfer window.

German side Red Bull Leipzig were also rumoured to be interested in Redan.
