A report claims that Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola wants to bring Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago to the Etihad Stadium.

Pep Guardiola is reportedly keen on bringing Spanish midfielder Thiago to Manchester City this summer.

Guardiola brought the Spanish midfielder to Bayern Munich from Barcelona in 2013 and according to El Confidencial, the new Man City boss wants to work with the central midfielder for a third time.

Thiago, 25, has made 79 appearances for Bayern during his time in Germany, but it is understood that incoming boss Carlo Ancelotti would be prepared to sell for the right price in this summer's transfer window.

Man City have already signed central midfielder Ilkay Gundogan from Borussia Dortmund this summer and are expected to be active before the start of the Premier League season next month.
