Crystal Palace reportedly agree personal terms with Liverpool striker Christian Benteke ahead of his proposed move to Selhurst Park.

Liverpool striker Christian Benteke has reportedly agreed personal terms with Crystal Palace ahead of his proposed move this summer.

The 25-year-old endured a difficult first season at Anfield, making just 14 starts in the Premier League and only three after the turn of the year.

The Belgian is widely expected to leave Liverpool this summer, with Palace reportedly offering a club-record sum of £31.5m for the striker.

Liverpool are understood to be eager to recoup the £32m they paid Aston Villa for Benteke last summer, but while the two clubs are still wrangling over the fee, The Mirror reports that the player has agreed terms with Palace.

The report goes on to say that Benteke would become the club's highest-earning player of all time in addition to their most expensive.

Benteke would be Palace's fourth signing of the summer after Steve Mandanda, James Tomkins and Andros Townsend.
