Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly ready to rival Borussia Dortmund for the signature of Bayern Munich midfielder Mario Gotze.

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly signalled their intentions to enter the race to sign Bayern Munich midfielder Mario Gotze.

The German international has spent the last three years at Bayern but he is expected to leave the Bundesliga champions after falling down the pecking order at the Allianz Arena.

Former club Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool have been credited with an interest in the 24-year-old but according to Bild, Spurs are ready to lodge a bid to bring the playmaker to North London.

It has been claimed that the 24-year-old is valued at around £20m by Bayern, who will be managed by Carlo Ancelotti next season after the departure of Pep Guardiola.

Gotze has scored 33 goals in 107 appearances for Bayern in all competitions.
