Manchester City attacker Jack Grealish is reportedly keen to join Everton this summer.

The England international has been left out of Man City's squad for the upcoming Club World Cup, and he is set to leave Pep Guardiola's side during this summer's transfer window.

A frustrating 2024-25 campaign saw the attacker only manage three goals and five assists in 32 appearances in all competitions, and there is currently a host of speculation surrounding his future.

Aston Villa are believed to be considering re-signing Grealish, while Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur and Napoli are among the clubs to be credited with an interest.

Everton are also believed to be in the running, and according to Football Insider, the 29-year-old is 'excited' by the possibility of making the move to the Merseyside giants to play under David Moyes.

Man City's Grealish 'open to Everton switch'

The report claims that the chance to play at Everton's glamorous new stadium, and their progress under Moyes, has made the Toffees a genuine option for him this summer.

Grealish's astronomical wages would make a deal incredibly complicated, though, as the attacker collects in the region of £300,000 a week at the Etihad Stadium.

Everton could potentially secure the England international's services on an initial loan deal, with the move then potentially becoming permanent during the summer of 2026.

Grealish made the move to Man City from Aston Villa in the summer of 2021, and he has represented the Citizens on 157 occasions, scoring 17 goals and registering 23 assists in the process.

Could Everton really sign Grealish?

It would be a spectacular signing for Everton if they managed to sign Grealish, but a lot would have to fall into place for the Merseyside giants to be in a position to acquire him.

As mentioned above, Everton simply cannot afford Grealish's wages, so they would have to hope that Man City agree to cover the majority of his pay packet during the 2025-26 campaign.

Everton could potentially be in a position to sign him permanently next summer if they are able to secure a European finish in the 2025-26 Premier League table, but that is a big ask.

Grealish is allegedly attracted by the chance to represent the Toffees, though, and if he is willing to accept a pay reduction, then one of the most eye-catching deals of the summer could be a possibility.
