Wilfried Bony has admitted that it was an "easy" decision to join Stoke City on loan from Manchester City.

The 27-year-old completed a switch to the Potters on transfer deadline day after failing to feature in City's first five games of the season.

Bony earned a move to the Etihad Stadium in January last year after scoring 35 goals in 70 appearances during a two-year spell at Swansea City, but he struggled to match that in Manchester due to a lack of game time.

"It's an exciting move for me and I am absolutely delighted that it is finally done," Bony told Stoke's official website. "There are lot of technical and very intelligent players here at the club, so it was easy for me to choose this team.

"I have already had some minutes on the pitch with Bojan already, in the training match today, and I had a good feeling about that instantly. Hopefully I can add to the talent that is already here and together we can help make this a really successful season.

"I am feeling good, I feel fit and can't wait to make my first appearance for Stoke City in the Premier League."

Bony could make his debut next weekend in the Potters' home match against Tottenham Hotspur.
