Yaya Toure's exclusion from Manchester City's Champions League squad will affect the club's fanbase, according to his agent Dimitri Seluk.

Agent Dimitri Seluk has suggested that Manchester City will lose some supporters to rivals Manchester United after Yaya Toure was left out of the club's Champions League squad.

Toure was the surprise absentee as Pep Guardiola decided on his group of players for the group stages, which begin later this month, but Seluk has predicted that City will lose out commercially after the 33-year-old was prevented from playing in Europe.

Seluk told the Daily Mail: "They will lose a lot of millions of supporters from Africa because of this decision from Guardiola.

"Now they will support Manchester United. A lot of people in Africa say they will never see any more matches of City on TV."

Seluk has previously said that Guardiola had "embarrassed" Toure by leaving him to focus on domestic action.
