Lee Grant has joined Stoke City on loan from Derby County until January.

Mark Hughes has brought in the 33-year-old as backup to injured regular goalkeeper Jack Butland and Shay Given.

Butland first broke his ankle while on international duty with England and was then struck down with a further complaint to the same joint in training earlier this month, leaving Given to deputise.

Grant, who has made 186 appearances for Derby over the course of two spells, has found himself behind Scott Carson in the pecking order in recent times.
