Joselu makes Deportivo La Coruna loan switch

Stoke City striker Joselu finalises a season-long loan switch to Deportivo La Coruna.

Stoke City striker Joselu has finalised a season-long loan switch to Deportivo La Coruna.

The 26-year-old moved to the Britannia from Hannover last summer and scored four goals in 22 Premier League appearances during his debut season.

The Spaniard has fallen out of favour under manager Mark Hughes this season, however, and has been named on the bench just once in an EFL Cup game against Stevenage.

The arrival of Wilfried Bony on loan from Manchester City earlier on deadline day pushed him further down the pecking order, cementing his return to Spain on a loan deal.

Deportivo are thought to have an option to make the move permanent next summer.
