Sports Mole looks at how Manchester City could line up in Tuesday's Champions League clash with Sporting Lisbon.

Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola will hope to have Jack Grealish and Gabriel Jesus available for selection against Sporting Lisbon in the Champions League on Tuesday.

Grealish missed out against Norwich City in the Premier League on Saturday due to a shin problem, while Jesus has been absent since picking up a muscular issue on international duty with Brazil.

Neither player is expected to start in the last-16 first leg, though, with Phil Foden, Raheem Sterling and Riyad Mahrez likely to feature in the final third of the field.

Kyle Walker will miss the game through suspension, which might open the door for John Stones to feature at right-back, although Joao Cancelo could also switch across, with fit-again Oleksandr Zinchenko keeping his spot at left-back.

Rodri, Kevin De Bruyne, Aymeric Laporte and Cancelo were all rested at the weekend for the four-goal success over Norwich but will be back in the side here, so Ilkay Gundogan could start on the bench in Portugal.

Bernardo Silva could join Rodri and De Bruyne in midfield, while Laporte and Ruben Dias will feature as the two central defenders in a 4-3-3 formation.

Manchester City possible starting lineup: Ederson; Stones, Dias, Laporte, Cancelo; B Silva, Rodri, De Bruyne; Mahrez, Foden, Sterling
