A report claims that Liverpool could move for Southampton defender Sam McQueen in the January transfer window.

Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Southampton defender Sam McQueen.

The 21-year-old was thrust into Claude Puel's starting XI following an injury to Ryan Bertrand and has started four of the club's last five matches in all competitions.

According to The Sun, McQueen's performances over the last few weeks have caught the attention of Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, who could move for the full-back in the January transfer window.

Leicester City have also been credited with an interest in a player that came through the youth system at Southampton and made 18 appearances during a loan spell at Southend United during the 2015-16 campaign.

McQueen's current deal at St Mary's will expire in the summer of 2018.
