Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Liverpool could line up for Sunday's Premier League clash with Nottingham Forest.

Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones must serve the third and final game of his three-match ban in Sunday's Premier League fixture against Nottingham Forest.

The Englishman was named in the first XI for Thursday's 5-1 Europa League success over Toulouse, but he will now return to the naughty step as Jurgen Klopp rotates his resources.

As well as Jones, the Reds will not be able to call upon Andrew Robertson (shoulder), Stefan Bajcetic (calf) or Thiago Alcantara (hip), while teenage attacker Ben Doak is also touch and go with a muscle concern.

Alterations from Thursday's victory will begin in the backline, as Caoimhin Kelleher makes way for Alisson Becker, while Ibrahima Konate and Virgil van Dijk will displace Joe Gomez and Joel Matip.

Trent Alexander-Arnold's heroic goal-line clearance got Kelleher out of jail in the Europa League, and the vice-captain will hold his place here, but Kostas Tsimikas is primed to come back in for full debutant Luke Chambers.

Wataru Endo was an unstoppable force as Liverpool's number six on Thursday, but Alexis Mac Allister will be expected to demote the Japan international to the bench, while the banned Jones's spot will be filled by Dominik Szoboszlai.

Capping off another solid display with a goal, Ryan Gravenberch has surely done enough to warrant a start after netting Liverpool's fourth against Toulouse, benefitting from Darwin Nunez's open goal miss as the Uruguayan's strike cannoned off the post.

Nevertheless, Nunez - who had already made the net ripple in the first half - saw the funny side to his blunder, and the Uruguayan could retain his place up front, despite Cody Gakpo's return from a knee problem.

Fresh from scoring a record 43rd continental goal for Liverpool - breaking Thierry Henry's record for the most European goals for a single English club - Mohamed Salah will be restored to the attack, as will Luis Diaz, who ought to restrict Diogo Jota to a cameo appearance.

Liverpool possible starting lineup: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Tsimikas; Szoboszlai, Mac Allister, Gravenberch; Salah, Nunez, Diaz
