Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp confirms that Harvey Elliott suffered a dislocated ankle after being taken off on a stretcher against Leeds United on Sunday.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that teenage starlet Harvey Elliott sustained a dislocated ankle during Sunday's victory over Leeds United.

The 18-year-old was once again trusted from the first whistle at Elland Road but was taken off on a stretcher following a horror tackle from Pascal Struijk in the second half.

Struijk was given his marching orders for the tackle, which left Liverpool players looking on in anguish, and Klopp has now revealed the severity of the problem.

Speaking to Sky Sports News after the game, Klopp said: "It is a bad injury. Ankle - it was dislocated and it has now been put back. He is now the hospital.

"Harvey is an excellent player - he is now out and we will wait for him. I saw the situation. I could see his foot was not in the right place. That is why we were all shocked."

Mohamed Salah notched up his 100th Premier League goal during Sunday's win at Elland Road, while Fabinho and Sadio Mane also got in on the act for the Reds.
