Liverpool are still reportedly pushing for the signings of Paris Saint-Germain star Bradley Barcola and Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak this summer.

Liverpool are reportedly prepared to swoop for a £250m duo during the remainder of the summer transfer window.

The Premier League champions have already made serious waves in the off-season trading point, bringing Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen for £127m.

The departure of Trent Alexander-Arnold to Real Madrid was a big loss for the Anfield club, however they have since bolstered their right-back ranks with the signing of Jeremie Frimpong.

Arne Slot's side are not resting on their title-winning laurels despite being the runaway leaders of the Premier League last season.

However, the Reds are not competing at this month's Club World Cup in the United States, unlike Manchester City and Chelsea.

Liverpool to swoop for Barcola, Isak?

According to talkSPORT, Liverpool could be set to break the £300m mark in their transfer spending before the end of the window.

The report claims that the Reds are plotting a blockbuster move for Bradley Barcola, who is valued at around £100m by Paris Saint-Germain.

It is understood that Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich are also in the hunt for the 22-year-old, with the attacker handed limited game time at Parc des Prince since January.

As well as Barcola, it is believed that Slot's troops have not given up hope of securing the services of Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak.

A star player in the North-East where a Champions League campaign awaits in the autumn, the super Swede could cost £150m this summer.

Liverpool's attacking changes

Liverpool feel light years away from the legendary trio of Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah, who fired the club to Premier League and Champions League glory.

There has still been plenty of success during what many would describe as a transitional period for the Reds under Slot since last year.

The Merseyside club were undoubtedly the best in the land during 2024-25, with the potential arrivals of Barcola and Isak representing a frightening prospect for the likes of Arsenal and Manchester City.
