Two sides who have found wins hard to come by in recent weeks face off at the Soldier Field on Sunday as Chicago Fire play host to Atlanta United.

The teams are yet to win any of their last four games apiece and have picked up just three victories between themselves all-season long.

Chicago United brought an end to their three-game losing streak courtesy of a 3-3 stalemate versus Philadelphia Union on June 27.

In what was a frenetic contest, Raphael Wicky's men fought from a goal down to take the lead, but they were pegged back as Boris Sekulic's 79th-minute own goal ensured a share of the spoils.

It continues to be a disappointing campaign for the Men in Red, who have recorded only one league win in 10 outings this term.

As a result, Sunday's hosts are currently rock-bottom in the Western Conference of the MLS, as well as the overall standings.

With seven goals scored, they have the second-worst attacking record in the division, while only two teams have conceded more than their tally of 17.

Atlanta United were held to a third consecutive home draw following a goalless affair versus New York Red Bulls last Sunday.

Despite being on the front foot for the majority of the match, Gabriel Heinze's men failed to make the most of their territorial advantage.

While the Five Stripes remain unbeaten on home turf, they are also yet to triumph on the road in any of their five contests.

Sunday's visitors also have a poor away record against the hosts, losing three of the last four by an aggregate score of 9-1.

Stanislav Ivanov and Kenneth Kronholm are both ruled out for the home side as they continue to battle with knee injuries.

Twenty-year-old Carlos Teran sat out the last game due to a shin problem and is expected to be unavailable for the visit of Atlanta United.

Wyatt Omsberg remains sidelined with a damaged hip, which is set to prevent the American from playing any part in Sunday's contest.

Emerson Hyndman and Matheus Rossetto continue to nurse hamstring and muscle injuries respectively and are the visitors' only absentees for the game.
