Armando Broja calls his first Chelsea goal a "surreal moment" after scoring in Saturday's 3-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Chelsea forward Armando Broja has described his first goal for the club as a "surreal moment", following Saturday's 3-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The Albania international made his Blues debut in March 2020, but he has spent the last two seasons on loan at Vitesse Arnhem and Southampton.

After spending time away from Stamford Bridge, Broja has remained part of the Chelsea setup for the current campaign, appearing from the bench on nine occasions.

The 21-year-old made his most recent substitute appearance against Wolves on Saturday, and he stamped his mark on the contest by scoring his first Chelsea goal in the 89th minute to wrap up a comfortable 3-0 victory.

Following the game, Broja told reporters: "It's always a wait when they check for a possible offside. I was keeping my fingers crossed but I thought I had timed my run well.

"Thanks to the fans for the support. It's unreal, I've been waiting for my first goal. It's a surreal moment. I can't put it into words.

"Everyone knows at one of the biggest clubs in the world there will be competition. It helps us all develop as players. We have a big squad, everyone is needed at all times."

Broja may have the chance to add to his tally when Chelsea travel to Italy for Tuesday's Champions League meeting with AC Milan.
