Burnley manager Sean Dyche insists that his side will not get carried away with their win over Liverpool heading into their EFL Cup clash with Accrington Stanley.

Burnley manager Sean Dyche has insisted that his side will not get carried away with their 2-0 victory over Liverpool on Saturday.

Goals from Sam Vokes and Andre Gray saw the Clarets pick up their first ever Premier League triumph over Liverpool, and also their first win since returning to the top flight.

However, Dyche is keen to quickly focus on the next test, which will see Burnley take on Accrington Stanley in the EFL Cup second round on Wednesday.

"They'll have enjoyed Saturday night and Sunday but [the winning feeling] goes away quickly. There's a professional atmosphere around the group. We won't get carried away with it. We've got to get on with the next game," he told reporters.

"There's a possibility of changes. We wanted to make sure everyone was fit and well, which they are, but because we have a deeper squad than we've had historically - and there are some really good players in the squad and we're still looking to add to that of course - there's likely to be some changes.

"But we still need to get the changes right in order to win. We're certainly not taking this game lightly. I know [Accrington boss] John Coleman. I think he's done a fantastic job. It's a local game, a derby of sorts in the cup albeit. We've got to take all that into consideration and make sure our team are capable of winning."

Burnley will be without Ashley Barnes for Wednesday's match due to a hamstring injury.
