Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Pascal Gross is grateful to the south coast club for giving him the chance to play in the Premier League and is happy to stay put.

Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Pascal Gross has expressed his gratitude to the club for giving him the chance to play in the Premier League.

The 26-year-old has impressed for the Seagulls this term, bagging five goals and eight assists since a £3m move from German club Ingolstadt last summer.

In addition, only Kevin De Bruyne, Mesut Ozil, Christian Eriksen and Cesc Fabregas have created more chances than Gross, who is helping to steer Brighton to safety.

"I'm very happy to play here because Brighton gave me the chance to play in the Premier League," the German told Sky Sports News.

"You never know how it is when you go to a different country to play football. To play in the best league in the world, I'm very happy that it is like it is now. I'm pleased to play here."

Gross is contracted tat the Amex Stadium until June 2021.
