Belgium and Italy opened their Euro 2016 campaigns with a Group E clash in Lyon on Monday night.
It was the Italians that entered the half-time break with a lead courtesy of a 32nd-minute goal from Emanuele Giaccherini.
Belgium continued to huff and puff in the second period as they searched for a leveller, but Italy made sure of the points in second-half stoppage time when Graziano Pelle volleyed home from close range.
